The Romance Collection
Falbanka Lamp is a part of The Romance collection. It is a product of the romance between embroidery, carpentry, and smithery. Inspiration for this piece came from by my great-grandma’s sewing patterns of decorative aprons which softness and ornamentation became a conceptual reference to address the roughness of aluminium and raw wood.

The Romance collection is inspired by my family’s history of traditional crafts. My great-grandad worked with metal and wood, making everyday use objects, while my great-grandma specialized in textiles and embroidery. I explored how these contrasting crafts could merge in one furniture piece, blending the softness of my grandma’s embroidery with the roughness of my grandad’s materials.
